Parisa Chaiyaphutsa, a Thai dragon boat rower, showed excellent form by crossing the finish line in third place to claim the bronze medal in the women's single lightweight double-paddle category. The dragon boat competition took place at the 20th Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya at the Nagaraagawa International Regatta Course in Japan on September 24, 2026. In the women's single lightweight final, Parisa finished third with a time of 7 minutes 40.61 seconds, securing the bronze medal. This marks the first medal for Thailand's rowing team at the Asian Games this time around, with an Iranian athlete winning gold and a Hong Kong athlete claiming silver.
