On September 24, 2025, Twivongse Totwivongse, a former Ayutthaya MP from the Thai Phakam party, posted on Facebook about flooding in Ayutthaya, stating: "People are not asking whether you abandoned the area. They're asking why, after Ayutthaya got blue MPs, the blue government still manages water so poorly. Anyone can hand out relief. People want to see real water management expertise."
Anupap Likhitamnoyvai, a Samut Songkhram MP from Thai Phakam, agreed and shared an old post from Padith Sangkhachai, the current Ayutthaya MP from Bhumjaithai, that stated: "I want to emphasize this year, 2025, there will definitely be no flooding. Farmers prepare yourselves." Anupap added a brief comment: "Ouch."
Commentators on Twivongse's post questioned whether lawmakers' promises matter, with one writing: "You said last year that MPs have a responsibility in parliament. This year it changed." Twivongse responded: "How many years does it take? I worked for two and a half years while in opposition. But the person in the photo is a minister, in government. Which party is he from?" He attached a news image of Deputy Prime Minister Prajadhorn Prrisananantakul discussing sustainable flood solutions that require 7-8 years to implement.
