Opposition MP Challenges Blue Government's Flood Response Strategy
An opposition MP from Ayutthaya criticized the government's flood relief efforts, questioning whether distributing foam to residents addresses the underlying crisis or merely postpones real solutions.
On September 25, 2026, following MP Songpol Suksomboon of the Bhumjaithai Party's distribution of foam to residents dealing with flooding, former Ayutthaya opposition MP Tawiwong Totawiwong posted on Facebook criticizing the approach. Totawiwong questioned whether handing out foam funded by taxpayers amounts to letting the crisis continue unabated, noting that anyone can distribute supplies. He challenged the blue government, which has six MPs, one minister, and six senators in Ayutthaya, to demonstrate whether it can better manage public suffering and water resources.
