Provincial Electricity Authority Wins National Cybersecurity Excellence Award
The Provincial Electricity Authority received Thailand's Cybersecurity Excellence Award for advanced security practices, recognizing its commitment to protecting critical infrastructure and building stakeholder trust.
On September 25, 2026, Mongkol Treekijjananth, Governor of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), assigned Viroj Buaklee, Deputy Governor of PEA, to receive the Prime Minister Awards: Thailand Cybersecurity Excellence Awards 2026 trophy in the category for organizations demonstrating advanced cybersecurity practices, along with a Tier 1 certificate. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Ratchada Thanadirek, Prime Minister's Office Advisor, at the Cattleya room of Rama Gardens Hotel in Bangkok.
The National Cybersecurity Committee organized the award presentation to honor organizations with outstanding national-level cybersecurity achievements, reflecting the Provincial Electricity Authority's commitment to promoting and developing effective cybersecurity capabilities in line with standards and the Cybersecurity Act as well as other relevant laws. This represents another achievement for PEA in elevating cybersecurity standards to build trust with service users and stakeholders.
