Heavy rain continues to pummel Ang Thong province, causing flooding in multiple areas awaiting drainage. Local government officials are rushing to help residents pump water out urgently. Ang Thong Municipality and volunteer medics are evacuating immobile patients from Wat Ang Thong community in Bang Kaew subdistrict, Muang district, to the second floors of homes for safety. Additional water pumps are being installed for residents affected by standing water. Jamnong Maliaung, head of Ban It Subdistrict Administration Organization, tasked subdistrict members with pumping water from homes in Village 5 after heavy rain throughout the night caused flooding in numerous households. Despite the widespread impact, officials are working at full capacity across multiple inundated areas as the Chao Phraya River continues rising. The Chao Phraya Dam is releasing water at a rate of 1,750 cubic meters per second. Latest readings at monitoring station C7A in front of Ang Thong Provincial Hall show water levels at 7.23 meters, with the critical threshold at 8 meters above the embankment level, which stands at 10 meters, with water flow at 1,758 cubic meters per second.
