On September 4 at the New Future Building, Sirikanya Tansakul, list MP and deputy leader of the Prachachat Party, commented on the government's plan to hold Cabinet-public forums as a potential tool to reverse falling popularity ratings. She noted that many governments use this strategy to communicate with the public, but said there are already normal channels available such as press briefings, Cabinet meetings, and parliamentary procedures.
Sirikanya argued that using state broadcaster NBT to promote achievements is unlikely to significantly boost approval numbers. She agreed with the Prime Minister's earlier statement that he does not want circular media questioning and would prefer parliamentary questions instead, saying this would eliminate the "back-and-forth ping-pong" between government and press.
She expressed frustration that if the Prime Minister had appeared in Parliament on September 3 when MPs requested his presence to clarify questions, the issue could have been avoided. Sirikanya noted that current approval ratings are at zero, lower than any previous prime minister, and urged the government to accelerate results. She called on the Prime Minister to personally answer parliamentary questions at least once in his term, especially on complex issues like data centers that span multiple ministries, rather than delegating responses to cabinet ministers.
