Bangkok police arrested a 54-year-old Israeli man who overstayed his visa by nearly six years for possessing crystal methamphetamine and allegedly drugging women with laced cake to secretly film them during sex. Officers seized 15 grams of ice, packaging materials, a digital scale, suspicious cake, and a phone containing drug-sale records and numerous hidden-camera videos. The suspect threatened the arresting team, claiming powerful connections would free him and vowing to have the officers transferred or killed.
Police arrested a 54-year-old Israeli man, known as "Tom Yum Kung," in a Huai Khwang condominium after he overstayed his visa by 2,095 days. He allegedly used a dating app to lure women to his room, gave them cake suspected of being laced with drugs, and secretly recorded them during sex. Authorities seized 15 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ice), 50 drug packages, a digital scale, the suspicious cake, and a phone containing evidence of drug dealing and numerous hidden-camera clips. The suspect threatened officers, claiming a "big boss" would intervene and vowing to have them transferred or killed.
On October 23, 2026, Pol. Lt. Col. Theeradech Thammasuthee, Deputy Commander of the Narcotics Suppression Bureau, led a team of officers from the Narcotics Suppression Division and the Immigration Bureau to apprehend Mr. Tomer (surname withheld), alias "Tom Yum Kung," age 54, Israeli nationality. He was charged with: jointly possessing a Category 1 narcotic (ice or methamphetamine) without permission; staying in the kingdom after permission expired for 2,095 days; refusing to submit to a drug test while officials performed their duties; and knowingly disobeying a lawful order without reasonable cause.
Also arrested was Ms. Phatchanok (surname withheld), age 44, Thai nationality, charged with jointly possessing a Category 1 narcotic (ice) without permission and illegally using a Category 1 narcotic (methamphetamine).
Seized evidence included 15 grams of ice, 50 ice packages, one digital scale, one tray of cake suspected of containing narcotics, and one mobile phone. Officials said the phone contained extensive data on drug trafficking and numerous secretly filmed sex clips.
The arrest took place at a condominium in Huai Khwang district, Bangkok. The investigation began after the Narcotics Suppression Division received a tip via the 1386 hotline from the Metropolitan Police Bureau about an Israeli man with an eagle tattoo on his left upper arm who used dating apps to contact women and bring them to his condo room.
According to the tip, the man would bake cake for the women; after eating it they became dizzy and sexually aroused, then had sex while being secretly filmed. The cake was suspected of containing drugs.
Pol. Lt. Col. Theeradech ordered officers to investigate, leading to the identification of Mr. Tomer. Coordination with the Immigration Bureau confirmed he had overstayed by 2,095 days. Surveillance traced him to a condo in Huai Khwang. Investigators noted he had no apparent occupation, mostly stayed in his room, but had daily spending money and many women visited.
During arrest and search, Mr. Tomer denied the ice belonged to him. However, officers found phone data showing he bought drugs for resale, along with many secretly filmed sex clips with various women on the room's sofa.
Mr. Tomer claimed a "senior figure" would arrive within two hours to secure his release, demanded the names of the arresting officers, and threatened to have the whole team transferred or fired. He also threatened to kill a police captain.
The suspects and evidence were handed to Huai Khwang Police Station investigators for legal proceedings.
