On the night of October 31, a covert police officer with the rank of Police Senior Sergeant Major (Pol.Sgt.Maj.) was drinking at a karaoke shop in Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi, with his girlfriend. A Police Lieutenant (Pol.Lt.) from Pak Kret Station, known as a "big shot" in the station, approached with his followers while intoxicated. He demanded to know where the officer was from, and when told he was a covert operative, the lieutenant grabbed his collar, announced "I'm Pak Kret police," and delivered a hard slap to the face.

The covert officer stood up to fight back but was swarmed by the lieutenant's subordinates, who punched him repeatedly in the face. His girlfriend shielded him with her body and pressed her palms together in a wai, begging them to stop, but the assault continued. Both were struck multiple times until the girlfriend fell unconscious.

After the attack, the lieutenant and his group walked out casually. The badly injured covert officer, with burst blood vessels in his eye, went to file a report at Pak Kret Police Station on the afternoon of November 1. He also submitted a formal complaint to his direct supervisor, fearing the case would not be handled fairly because the accused lieutenant holds significant influence in the area and within the station. Since the incident falls under Pak Kret jurisdiction, the victim took the CCTV footage to the media to seek justice.
