Heavy rain battered Phetchaburi Province for eight hours on October 11, 2026, triggering flash floods that inundated several districts. In Nong Ya Plong, floodwaters surged across the bypass road connecting the district with Yang Chum in Tha Yang, especially around Ban Dong Takid and Ban Sa Si Mul, sweeping across the road surface and preventing small vehicles from passing. In Khao Yoi, flash flooding inundated the area behind the Khiri Wong village project in North Nong Chumphon, affecting homes and the main village access road with fast‑moving, waist‑deep water. Additionally, the flood spilled onto the parallel lane of Phet Kasem Road at kilometer 134, northbound toward Bangkok opposite Yothinburut School, stretching for a long stretch and causing vehicles to slow down and traffic to jam. In Mueang Phetchaburi, particularly the municipal area, accumulated rainwater that could not drain quickly flooded many streets — including Ratchawithi, Khiri Rat Ya, Ban Dat, Chi Sra In, and Ratchadamnoen — as well as roads surrounding the market and the fresh market, where water reached 30‑40 centimetres. The flooding made travel difficult, rendered small cars unable to pass, and seeped into houses, damaging household belongings.
