PM Orders Extension of Thai Help Thai Plus Program
Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul ordered an extension of the Thai Help Thai Plus assistance program for one or two months to distribute remaining 40,000-50,000 million baht to citizens amid rising fuel costs.
At 5:15 p.m. on September 12 at Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Interior Minister discussed the Thai Help Thai Plus program, noting it is in its final month. He revealed that approximately 40,000 to 50,000 million baht in budget remains due to many citizens failing to register. He instructed Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanpraphas to proceed with extending the program for one or two months while using only the available funds. As the final quarter of the year approaches with October, November, and December remaining, the government plans to distribute remaining budget to ease citizens' burdens amid rising fuel costs. The PM emphasized this reflects the government's constant consideration for the people and urged critics not to worry, as all actions are taken for public benefit and national interest.
