The Royal Gazette published an announcement from the Energy Policy Committee regarding a reduction in diesel prices at refineries of 2.40 baht per liter, effective from September 16 to October 31, 2026. The committee noted that unresolved Middle East tensions between the United States, Israel, and Iran are directly impacting global crude oil and refined product supplies, causing continued high volatility in Thailand's domestic fuel prices. In response, the Energy Policy Committee approved the price reduction during its 11th meeting on September 3, 2026. The announcement specifies that effective September 16, 2026, prices at refineries will be reduced by 2.40 baht per liter for all diesel grades: B0 (ultra-low sulfur diesel), B7 (standard diesel), and B20 (biodiesel blend), through October 31, 2026.
