At 9:00 a.m. on July 7, 2025, at the Siam Kempinski building at Government House, Prime Minister Anuthun Chanyaveerakul and Interior Minister, acting as leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, arrived to prepare for the cabinet meeting. Before the session, the PM called ministers from both the Bhumjaithai and Pheu Thai parties for a discussion at the building. Those summoned included Deputy PM Phipat Ratchakij (Transport Minister), Deputy PM Ekniti Nitithanpraphat (Finance Minister), Deputy PM Suphajee Suthammaphan (Commerce Minister), Deputy PM Yotsanan Wongsawasdi (Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Minister), as well as Labor Minister Julphand Amorvivatana, Industry Minister Warawut Silparacha, Culture Minister Sabida Taiesat, Tourism and Sports Minister Surasak Panjcharoen, Energy Minister Eknat Promppan, and several deputy ministers and ministerial aides.
At 10:00 a.m., the PM descended from the building with the ministers and proceeded to the Command Building 1 to chair the cabinet meeting.
When reporters asked whether the meeting with Bhumjaithai and Pheu Thai ministers discussed any cabinet reshuffle, the PM laughed and replied, "We're just having congee," prompting the ministers accompanying him to chuckle as well.
Reports indicated that several ministers were absent from the meeting, including Deputy PM Sihsakdi Puangkaetkaew (Foreign Minister), Education Minister Praserit Chantrangwong, Digital Economy and Society Minister Chaichachok Chidchob, and Ministerial Aide Napintr Srisarpphang.
