Police Arrest Two Vietnamese Men Over Ketamine Seizure in Bangkok
Police in Bangkok arrested two Vietnamese men after a delivery rider reported a suspicious package containing ketamine. The raid, led by senior officers, yielded eight bags of ketamine, vape cartridges, scales and a tablet press machine. The suspects are now in custody and face drug charges.
On October 2, 2026, following directives from Pol Lt Gen Siam Boonsom, Commissioner, Pol Maj Gen Pumphon Aermmol, Deputy Commissioner, Pol Maj Gen Worasak Pisisthbarnakon, Commander of the Metropolitan Police Division 1, and Pol Col Sakaya Saengwan, Deputy Commander, Pol Lt Col Chanont Thongkasem, acting deputy superintendent of investigation at Huai Khwang Police Station, Pol Lt Col Chitsanupong Kai‑nun‑sing, inspector of investigation, and Pol Lt Col Atthapol Khonwaiphop, station inspector, together arrested Nguyen Buoi Van Huan and Nguyen Dinh Giang Ye, both Vietnamese nationals. Police seized eight bags of ketamine, fifteen electronic cigarette liquid heads (vape pods), two weighing scales, one tablet press machine, and several other items under inspection. The arrests were made at a condominium room on Pracharat Bamphen Soi 18, Huai Khwang District, Bangkok. The investigation began after a rider reported being hired to deliver a paper envelope to Pattaya, Chonburi. Upon arriving at the condo, the rider noticed the recipient behaving suspiciously and suspected the parcel contained illegal substances, so he contacted Huai Khwang Police. Opening the parcel revealed ketamine, prompting police to devise a plan: they instructed the rider to feign a return‑to‑sender request before moving in to arrest the suspects. A subsequent search of the room uncovered a second Vietnamese man and additional evidence, which was seized. Both men were taken for questioning and will face legal proceedings.
