Police Officer Found Dead in Phuket Car with Charcoal Stove
Villagers discovered a 37-year-old police sergeant dead inside his pickup truck at a market parking lot in Kamala, Phuket, with a charcoal stove found in the rear footwell. The officer had been seen driving out from the police quarters alone that morning and was last seen around 9:00 a.m. Authorities are investigating the death and awaiting autopsy results to establish the cause.
The deceased resided alone in the Kamala Police Station quarters and was last seen driving out at approximately 9:00 a.m. on the same day. A coconut market stallholder reported seeing the pickup parked in the area since early evening, engine running and the officer sitting inside, apparently using his phone. Another witness who declined to be named said they observed the vehicle arriving at the scene around 11:00 a.m. Police are currently reviewing evidence and awaiting the official autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death, with further updates to follow.
