The raid on 12 Oct 2026 was conducted by Region 2 Provincial Police, Chonburi Provincial Police, and Sattahip Police Station following a tip-off. It was carried out under a national police directive issued on 9 Oct 2026 to suppress gambling, vice, and human trafficking.
On 12 Oct 2026, officers from Region 2 Provincial Police, Chonburi Provincial Police, and Sattahip Police Station launched a coordinated raid on an illegal gambling establishment in a rented room in Bang Sare, Sattahip, Chonburi. The suspects, 14 individuals — 11 women and 3 men — were caught in the act of playing pok deng and enthusiastically anticipating the next cards. Police detained everyone on the scene, gathered evidence, and transferred the suspects to Sattahip Police Station for prosecution.
The operation stemmed from a tip-off about an underground pok deng venue. It was carried out after the national police chief, Pol Gen Sanphorn Nuannam, issued a directive on 9 Oct 2026 emphasizing a strict crackdown on gambling dens, vice establishments, and human trafficking, warning that negligent commanders could be transferred within 24 hours. Acting on that order, investigators tracked reports of relocating gambling sites in Chonburi and traced leads to Bang Sare, where they moved in to apprehend the players and dismantle the operation.
All arrested persons will undergo standard legal investigation and proceedings based on the evidence collected.
