Police Seize 15 Bank Accounts in Bum Panadda Money-Laundering Probe
Thailand's Economic Crime Suppression Division has frozen 15 bank accounts linked to actress Bum Panadda, her family, and their charitable foundations after discovering only a fraction of the nearly 1 billion baht previously reported in circulation. Police are also investigating luxury properties, vehicles, firearms, and designer goods to trace their origins and financial connections to the alleged offences. The couple remains under surveillance in Thailand with no indication of attempted flight.
The Central Investigation Bureau's Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) confirmed it has seized 15 bank accounts belonging to actress Bum Panadda, her husband Got, their children, parents, and related foundations. Investigators found only about 100 million baht circulating across all accounts — down from nearly 1 billion baht previously reported — with actual remaining balances totalling just several million baht. The accounts were frozen from the start of the case as standard procedure. Authorities are also examining 3-4 houses, multiple land plots, 20 vehicles, six firearms, and luxury handbags to determine if they were acquired before or after the alleged offences and whether money trails connect to each asset. Police say they are monitoring Bum and her husband continuously; both remain in Thailand with no signs of flight or asset transfers. Further seizures may begin as early as Friday once financial links are verified.
