Police Shoot Tires to Stop Drug Suspect's Escape in Ratchaburi
Police in Ratchaburi arrested a man known as 'Boy Don Sai' and his wife after a high‑speed chase that ended with officers shooting out the car’s tires to stop it. The couple was found with a large quantity of methamphetamine, ice, and illegal firearms. Both now face multiple drug and weapons charges.
When police arrived at the couple's house, they found only the wife, who admitted to buying eight methamphetamine tablets from her husband. Later, Boy Don Sai returned in a Mitsubishi sedan with a Saraburi license plate and tried to flee when he saw officers. He struck a police car, then attempted to reverse, nearly hitting officers who had to jump aside. Police shot out the vehicle's tires to stop it, and the suspect was finally apprehended. A search of the car and house turned up 865 methamphetamine tablets, 9.3 grams of ice, a .38 caliber pistol with six rounds, an electronic cigarette, and a digital scale. The wife later led police to retrieve her husband's 9mm pistol, which she had pawned in the Don Sai area. Both suspects now face charges of possessing and intending to sell methamphetamine, using illegal drugs, driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition, carrying a firearm in public without permission, and obstructing police officers in the performance of their duties.
