Three Injured as SUV Plunges From Bridge in Chumphon
A woman driver lost control of her Isuzu MU‑X, causing the vehicle to fall from a bridge over a canal in Chumphon and hang about 10 metres above the ground. Three occupants were seriously injured, with two men trapped inside the wreckage and rescued using cutting equipment. The female driver was taken to hospital earlier, and all three are currently receiving treatment while police investigate the crash.
The incident occurred when the Isuzu MU‑X, traveling out of Chumphon city with three occupants, left the road and fell from the bridge, landing near a bridge pier. Two men were found seriously injured and trapped inside the vehicle; rescuers had to use hydraulic cutters to free them due to the car's precarious position on a slope. The female driver, aged between 40 and 45, had already been pulled out and taken to Chumphon Hospital. All three victims remain under medical treatment, and police are investigating the cause, examining the vehicle and scene evidence. No fatalities have been reported so far.
