Prime Minister Orders Flood Response, Hygiene Cleanup After Receding Waters

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul opened the second day of the National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command meeting, congratulating officials on their new appointments and reminding them there is no grace period for learning on the job. He reported that while flood conditions have improved in many areas, continued vigilance is needed against possible return of floodwaters, and urged provinces to maintain highest readiness for water management and waste clearance to prevent health hazards. The Prime Minister emphasized integrated efforts among agencies to safeguard lives and property, ensure early warnings, protect vulnerable groups, manage evacuation centers, and rehabilitate affected areas, confirming that government personnel have reached every flood‑hit locality.
