Deliver Flood Aid in Pathum Thani After Colleague Falls Ill
Chor Pannika and Lt. Col. Bow delivered emergency food and water to flood-stricken residents of Kukot-Lam Sam Kaeo in Pathum Thani after fellow MP Chétwan was hospitalized with an infected wound from weeks of wading through floodwaters. Despite the area being declared a disaster zone, relief has been slow, prompting criticism from the MPs. Other members of the People's Party have also contributed supplies to the ongoing effort.
Chor Pannika and Lt. Col. Bow arrived at Thararin Village in Kukot Subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka District, where some alleys were flooded chest-deep and had been stagnant for six days. MP Chétwan, who is receiving antibiotics in hospital for an infected wound, posted a message saying he had entrusted the relief mission to Lt. Col. Bow and Chor Pannika, who have been on the ground for several days, while he rests in hospital. Together with his support team 'Friends of Chétwan', they handed out water and food to residents who complained that no government agencies have come to help. Chétwan expressed frustration that, although the area has been declared a disaster zone, aid is delayed despite the government's ability to mobilize funds and resources. He said he expects to remain in hospital for another two nights to complete his antibiotic course and will return to the area as soon as he feels better. Other People's Party MPs, including Sirikanya Tansakul, Isariya Pairapeepharit and Ice Rakchan Srinok, have also sent food and joined the relief effort.
