Actress Mim Ratanawadee Wongtong has become synonymous with Thai horror cinema, having starred in four ghost films—Thee Yod, Thee Yod 2, Phanop, and The Guest 2—with another horror project titled CHER currently in development, earning her the nickname "queen of horror films." In a candid interview, the 22-year-old reflected on her 15-year career journey that began at age 7, describing how she progressed from child actor to seasoned performer while proving her versatility. She credited producers and directors for creating opportunities across various roles and expressed pride in the hard work behind each character, including extensive preparation both mentally and physically. Mim began casting work at age 7, but her breakthrough came through the TV drama series Wasana Rak on Channel 3, though she remained a freelancer until recently signing with GMMTV and taking on a new role as a lead actress opposite Baifern Bairavee in Girl Love. At 22, she reflected on the difficult path to recognition, acknowledging moments when she considered abandoning the industry after countless failed auditions, particularly for commercial work, even briefly considering law school. She described the turning point when audiences began remembering her name and giving her the horror film moniker, realizing that this was the dream she had envisioned since childhood. Mim recalled her first role in the drama Wun Nuk Ruk Tem Baan, when she naively thought appearing on television meant instant success, only to discover the industry demanded much more dedication and perseverance. She shared how discouraging it felt to audition for numerous roles without success, especially after her initial TV appearance, and how she questioned whether entertainment was truly her path. Despite her training in crying techniques since age 7 and steady casting work, she faced rejection in commercial roles and briefly considered pursuing law as an alternative career before ultimately choosing to continue fighting for her dream.
