SEC Clarifies Contact With Securities Complaint Whistleblower

The SEC clarified that it is coordinating with police to meet with the actual Form 246-2 whistleblower, Suphaporn Pimpongsa of Bangkok, after reports confused her identity with another person.

The SEC has issued a statement following news reports claiming that Suphaporn Pimpongsa, a Bangkok resident, had not been contacted by the SEC or police. The SEC clarified that this person is not the same individual who filed the Form 246-2 report. The SEC confirmed that it is currently coordinating with the Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECSD) to invite Suphaporn Pimpongsa, the actual Form 246-2 whistleblower, to provide a statement to SEC officials and investigators. Deputy Secretary-General and Spokesman Aneuk Yuayuean of the SEC made the disclosure.
