Senator Files Complaint Against DSI, iLAW Over Leaked Docs
A Thai senator has filed a police complaint accusing the Department of Special Investigation and iLAW director Yingcheep Atchanont of leaking classified election‑fraud documents to pressure the Election Commission. The complaint alleges the leak violated state‑secrecy laws and was part of a campaign to intimidate the EC and influence its rulings on the 2024 Senate election case. The senator demands a full criminal investigation into the officials involved.
The senator alleges that DSI investigators and Yingcheep deliberately released confidential case files, including 90,000 pages of documents from the Senate election‑fraud investigation, to smear the Election Commission and force it to indict all 229 suspects. According to the complaint, Yingcheep also organized a public forum titled 'Break the Wall, End the Senate Show' at the Maruya Garden Hotel on 23 August 2069, where he displayed the documents and warned that anyone the EC cleared would be exposed. The senator argues that the special‑investigation files are classified under DSI Order 67/2562, and their release violates multiple laws, constitutes abuse of office for political gain, and amounts to criminal offenses under the Penal Code Sections 157, 164, 83 for the DSI officers and Section 86 for Yingcheep as an accomplice. He has urged the Central Investigation Bureau to gather evidence and prosecute all involved until the case reaches a final verdict.
