Sleeping Truck Driver Crashes 18-Wheeler Into Prachinburi House

At 1:15 AM on October 26, 2026, Police Lieutenant Sahatsawas Panchamas, Deputy Inspector (Investigation) of Kabin Buri Police Station, received a report of an 18-wheeler trailer truck losing control and crashing into a residential house, damaging multiple vehicles at a house in Khao Maikaeo Subdistrict, Kabin Buri District, Prachinburi Province. Officers rushed to the scene with relevant agencies.

At the scene, they found an 18-wheeler Isuzu truck with Prachinburi license plates that had plowed into a red Kubota tractor parked in front of the house, completely destroying it. The impact force then pushed the tractor into a nearby parked Isuzu pickup truck, also with Prachinburi plates, scattering its sound equipment and rear lights. Additionally, the crash force blew out the house's front windows entirely. Preliminary damage assessment is no less than 700,000 baht.

Upon questioning, Mr. Suriyanth (surname withheld), the homeowner and victim of this misfortune, recounted tearfully that while he was asleep, he suddenly heard a loud boom and felt the house shake. He ran out to look and was almost too shocked to react when he saw his tractor — the tool he uses to earn a living — smashed beyond use.

Mr. Warawut (surname withheld), the 18-wheeler driver, confessed that after delivering goods to the 304 Industrial Estate, he was driving back to a wood purchasing yard in Kho Chan District. Upon reaching the accident spot, he experienced microsleep, dozed off momentarily, and by the time he realized it, the truck had already lost control and crashed into the house and villagers' vehicles.

However, following the incident, insurance company officials inspected the site and confirmed they will accept full liability for all damages incurred.
