Krungsri Launches SME Loan at 3.5% Rate, Up to 150 Million Baht
Krungsri Bank launches SME Power Up loan offering up to 150 million baht at 3.5% annual interest for the first two years, targeting mid-sized businesses in priority sectors including tourism, healthcare, and logistics.
Krungsri Bank has expanded its support for entrepreneurs through the Reinvent Thailand program by launching the Krungsri SME Power Up loan product. The program targets SME operators in transition who want to invest in expanding their competitive capabilities, with credit lines reaching a maximum of 150 million baht.
On July 14, 2024, Duangkamal Limpwungtip, head of SME customer relations at Krungsri Bank, emphasized that Thai businesses today compete not just domestically but globally. She stressed that investment in productivity, technology adoption, and operational efficiency is no longer optional but essential. The bank previously launched the Krungsri SME Double Power program for small and micro-entrepreneurs under Reinvent Thailand, and is now expanding support with the SME Power Up product to serve medium-sized enterprises with larger investment plans requiring higher credit facilities.
The name Power Up reflects the bank's belief that entrepreneurs today need more than capital—they need confidence and momentum to elevate their operations and thrive on the world stage. The Krungsri SME Power Up program targets businesses in priority sectors including tourism, healthcare, smart electronics, retail and wholesale, logistics, and agriculture and agro-processing—industries crucial to adding value to Thailand's economy and requiring accelerated investment in productivity, technology, innovation, and international-standard production processes.
Key features include a maximum credit line of 150 million baht, designed to fully support project investments, combined with a special interest rate of 3.5% annually for the first two years and a repayment period of up to seven years. This structure helps entrepreneurs plan investments efficiently, reduce initial costs, and accelerate investment to gain competitive advantage.
