Snooker Champion Nuk Watsorn Wins LEO Ranking Title
Nuk Watsorn Yanatheerakul claimed the LEO Snooker Ranking title at Bangkok's Fino Snooker Club, defeating first-time finalist Kitti Skul Punpanya 4-1 in the best-of-seven championship match.
The LEO Snooker Ranking by Fino Season 8, an eight-edition six-red snooker tournament with a total prize pool of 400,000 baht, was held at Fino Snooker Club on Ratchada Soi 18. The championship final employed a best-of-seven-frames format with prize presentation by Sukanya Puntsukhon, general manager of Fino Snooker Club. The match pitted former champion Nuk Watsorn Yanatheerakul, ranked 9th, against Kitti Skul Punpanya in his first finals appearance. Nuk dominated from the start, leading 2-1 after breaking with 46 points, then extending his lead to 3-1 with a 67-point break before clinching the title 4-1. The final frames ended with scores of 40-16, 8-37, 63-0, 67-0, and 35-27. Nuk received the trophy and 30,000 baht in prize money, while runner-up Kitti took home 12,000 baht. The tournament opened competition to Thai snooker players with official rankings below 64, accepting both professional and amateur athletes and featuring high-standard live streaming on Facebook (Fino Snooker Clubs) and YouTube (Fino Livemedia) channels.
