On August 7, 2025, following a shooting incident at Thepsirin School in Nonthaburi, parents and relatives of students and staff gathered at the school after authorities confirmed a death and a missing person. The deceased teacher's brother, Nop, a Grade 9 student, explained that he learned of the incident and tried to contact his sister but could not reach her, prompting him to rush to the school. He later learned she had been shot inside Building 5, though rescue workers have not yet brought her body down. Nop said his sister was deeply attached to the school, having attended it as a student, completed an internship there, and worked as a teacher. He described her as someone who rarely shared negative stories about students and was devoted to the children. When discussing the incident, Nop emphasized the need for improved safety measures for both teachers and students, noting this was not the first such occurrence. He expressed concerns about the root causes of student violence and the variety of media content children are exposed to in the internet age.
