Thai Golfers Win Three Titles at Southeast Asian Amateur Championships

Thailand's national golf team delivered an outstanding performance, capturing three championships in the Santi Cup, Lion City Cup, and Kartini Cup, and finishing runner-up in the Putra Cup at the Southeast Asian Amateur Golf Team Championships 2026 held at Hong Kong Golf Club in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The final round concluded on September 18, 2026.

The competition featured four team championship divisions divided by age group and gender: the Santi Cup (women's open), Lion City Cup (men's youth), Kartini Cup (women's youth), and Putra Cup (men's open).

In the Santi Cup, Thailand's team of Chanomphars Thawilsangkha, Marisa Tojai, and Suritpiya Prugsanubal scored a combined 38-under-par to win by 7 strokes over Singapore. Chanomphars won the individual title with a score of 21-under-par, while Marisa finished third at 17-under-par.

The Lion City Cup team of Pasit Rattakaw, Jetsada Chuangprayoon, and Naphat Chaiyapanich shot a combined 15-under-par to secure the team championship. Jetsada also won the individual title with a score of 9-under-par.

Thailand's Kartini Cup team of Wirida Thawilsangkha, Thanachporn Inthasaeng, and Kalyaraksa Phongpithan recorded a combined 46-under-par to win by 30 strokes over Indonesia. Thanachporn finished second individually at 22-under-par, Kalyaraksa placed third at 17-under-par, and Wirida fourth at 13-under-par.

In the Putra Cup, Thailand's team of Thirawut Bunseeor, Takrit Suphakrochuvong, Varot Bunrod, and Shivakorn Kriangkai shot a combined 29-under-par to finish runner-up, three strokes behind Hong Kong. Shivakorn achieved Thailand's best individual performance with a second-place finish at 13-under-par, as the championship went to Geoffrey Chan of Hong Kong at 17-under-par.
