Thailand Claims Three Titles at Southeast Asian Amateur Golf Championships
Thailand dominated the Southeast Asian Amateur Golf Team Championships 2026 in Hong Kong, capturing three of four team titles across women's and junior categories. The hosts Hong Kong claimed the men's open title, edging out Thailand's team
Hong Kong — 18 September 2026. Thailand's national amateur golf teams won three of four team titles at the Southeast Asian Amateur Golf Team Championships 2026, while finishing runner-up in the fourth event at Hong Kong Golf Club.
The tournament featured four team trophies contested across men's and women's open and junior categories: the Santi Cup for women's open, Lion City Cup for junior men, Kartini Cup for junior women and Putra Cup for men's open.
In the Santi Cup, Thailand's team of Chonmparssa Thawinsang, Marisa Tojai and Suritpriya Prueksanuban posted a combined 38-under-par to win the title by seven strokes over Singapore. Chonmparssa also won the individual title at 21-under-par, while Marisa finished third at 17-under.
Thailand's Lion City Cup team of Pasit Ratakaew, Jetsada Chuangprayoon and Naphat Chaiphanich finished 15-under-par to claim the team title. Jetsada also won the individual competition with a 9-under-par total.
In the Kartini Cup, Thailand's team of Virada Thawinsang, Thanatchaporn Insaeng and Kanyaruk Pongpithanon carded a combined 46-under-par to win by 30 strokes over Indonesia. Thanatchaporn finished second individually at 22-under-par, followed by Kanyaruk in third at 17-under and Virada in fourth at 13-under.
In the Putra Cup, Thailand's team of Teerawut Boonsee-or, Thakrit Supakornchoowong, Warut Boonrod and Siwakorn Kriangkrai finished runner-up at 29-under-par, three strokes behind Hong Kong. Siwakorn was Thailand's top individual finisher, placing second at 13-under-par. Hong Kong's Jeffrey Chan won the individual title at 17-under-par.
