Woman Gives Birth at Shopping Mall in Pattaya, Baby Found on Floor

At 11:00 am on September 19, 2025, rescue services in Pattaya, Chon Buri received a report of a newborn girl discovered outside a major shopping mall in the Bang Lamung district. Medical teams, nurses, and police from Pattaya City Station responded to the scene.
Rescuers found the unclothed newborn girl lying on the ground near a dinosaur display fence, with the umbilical cord still attached and blood at the scene. The infant was initially silent but began crying when staff arrived to help. A nearby motorcycle taxi driver quickly wrapped the baby in cloth and held her while officials searched for the mother.
Security personnel and rescue teams later found the 41-year-old mother from Bangkok in a ground-floor restroom in a weakened and severely bleeding condition. Both mother and baby were transported to Pattaya Hospital for treatment. The newborn weighed approximately 1.6 kilograms, and the mother showed signs of severe hemorrhage and exhaustion requiring close medical monitoring.
According to the mother's account, this was her third pregnancy at approximately seven to eight months. She experienced severe abdominal pain while resting at the mall entrance that morning and went to a restroom to wash before labor suddenly occurred.
Suchat, a 30-year-old motorcycle taxi driver who witnessed the incident, reported seeing the woman acting disoriented near the dinosaur display before the child suddenly fell to the ground. Bystanders were shocked and immediately assisted the newborn while calling for help. The mother had walked away but was later located by search teams in the mall restroom.
