Po Teck Tung Foundation Honors 195 Outstanding Volunteers

Po Teck Tung Foundation held an awards ceremony to honor outstanding volunteers for 2567–2568 on September 19, 2026, at the foundation's parking building conference room on the 6th floor, located at the White Jade Chinese Temple in Sathorn, Bangkok. Senior foundation officials including Vice Chairman Wichit Chinwongwaragul, Operations Committee Chair and Secretary Sirikul Obhaswongse, Director and Treasurer Surpong Saratphakdee, and Director Nipun Chokphiromyongsak presented commendation plaques to 195 outstanding volunteers across seven categories: rescue and lifeguard volunteers, service volunteers, traffic volunteers, special task volunteers, communication volunteers, artist volunteers, and community medical volunteers.

During the ceremony, Sirikul Obhaswongse praised the volunteers for dedicating their time, effort, resources, and personal sacrifice to help society without expectation of reward, in line with the foundation's mission of "saving lives, healing lives, and creating lives." She noted that these volunteers sometimes face danger in disaster and emergency situations. Dr. Pichest Nongsang, Secretary of the National Institute of Emergency Medicine, also congratulated the volunteers, emphasizing the importance of recognizing their selflessness and spirit of service to the disadvantaged and emergency patients.
