Suspect Denies Child Motorbike Theft, Claims Chain Broke
A man arrested on drug charges denies stealing a child's motorbike, claiming his own bike's chain broke and he asked the child to help deliver something instead.
On September 19, 2025, at Sutthisan Police Station, Phanuwat (known as Meang Pak Dam) was brought in for custody under an arrest warrant from Phra Khanong Criminal Court. He faces charges of possessing a Category 2 controlled substance (ketamine) without authorization. He was transferred to Phra Khanong Criminal Court to request detention. Phanuwat stated that his arrest relates to an old case, and regarding borrowing the child's motorbike, he explained that his own bike's chain had broken, so he had the child ride it to deliver something while he found another person. He insisted this is an old matter, not a motorbike theft case. The arrest occurred while he was receiving treatment at Sri Thanya Hospital. He said he is prepared to make a statement in court. He claims the summons and arrest warrant were not delivered to his home before his release from Nonthaburi Prison without an arrest hold, leaving him unaware of them. After his court statement, he will await bail consideration.
