Thai Government Officials Buy Thai-Danish Milk to Support Dairy Farmers
Government officials purchased Thai-Danish milk products at a Parliament House event to support local dairy farmers, with Deputy Prime Minister Yossanan endorsing the initiative as part of an economy-stimulating market promotion.
On September 8, 2025, at Parliament House following a cabinet meeting, an event called the Phasuk Market was held to stimulate the economy. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Watchrapol Khaokhram invited Deputy Prime Minister Yossanan Wongsudet, who also serves as Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, along with Minister of Labour Julphan Amorivivat, Minister of Social Development and Human Security Nikon Somklang, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Piyaratcharya Tiyapairat, and members of parliament from the Pheu Thai party. They visited the Emerald Pool area to purchase fresh milk products from Thai-Danish milk in order to support Thai dairy farmers.
Deputy Prime Minister Yossanan ordered a vanilla-flavored milk shake and said, "I want to invite everyone to help support and promote Thai-Danish milk because it means supporting our dairy farmers. I ordered a vanilla milk shake today because I prefer a mild taste—I'm a simple person."
Thai-Danish milk is 100 percent pure cow's milk produced by Thai dairy farming families. The cabinet approved the expansion of the school milk supplementary food programme for students in grades 1–3 of opportunity-expansion schools on August 11, 2016. The cabinet also approved expanding the programme's target group to include students from preschool through grade 6 and secondary students in grades 1–3 attending opportunity-expansion schools, effective from the 2570 school year.
