Tourism Minister Surasak Panjiranjarvakul said on September 29 at Government House that he is arranging for 16-year-old Nene Royal, from Phuket, to meet again with Prime Minister Anuthim Charnveerakul. Nene won the America's Got Talent Season 21 competition and claimed the one million dollar prize, worth approximately 33 million baht.
The minister explained that while the Tourism Authority of Thailand supported her success, any future use of logos or promotional activities would require careful attention to contractual obligations. America's Got Talent will retain control of her intellectual property rights, so not all activities can be undertaken freely. Surasak said the Prime Minister expressed a desire to meet Nene again but wants to find a suitable time, as she has existing commitments. The minister has been coordinating with Nene's team to arrange an appropriate slot for the meeting with the Prime Minister.
