Thai Ministry Deploys Boats to Aid Flood-Hit Ratchaburi
Minister Suchart Chomklin said the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources sent 17 officials, four vehicles and three boats to help flood‑hit Ratchaburi Province. The teams are evacuating residents and delivering supplies by boat as water levels recede. He urged agencies to stay ready to assist until the crisis is over.
On October 3, 2026, the DMCR’s Region 8 and Region 3 offices jointly dispatched 17 staff members, four official cars and three marine resource boats—both rubber inflatables and flat‑bottom craft—to Ratchaburi to support urgent flood relief operations. Their main tasks include moving residents out of flooded zones and transporting food, drinking water and other necessities to affected communities by boat. Minister Suchart Chomklin emphasized that relief efforts will continue until the situation fully improves, with safety of both civilians and responders remaining the top priority.
