The Practical Shooting Association of Thailand launched its second youth skills development camp for practical shooting between October 16 and 18, 2026 at the National Sports Training Centre in Eastern Region, Chonburi. Association President General Phemsak Phuangsaeng opened the camp on October 16, with 42 young athletes receiving instruction from national team coaches and instructors, alongside their parents.
The closing ceremony on October 18 was chaired by Vice President Wat Srijin Tang-oon, who awarded certificates to the trainees. Association Vice President Kachon Jiackkajorn, speaking as project chairman, said the camp aims to advance shooting skills, improve performance under competitive pressure, and align basic shooting techniques with the updated rules of the International Practical Shooting Confederation, revised in 2026.
He expressed confidence that the program will produce a new generation of talent for Thai practical shooting and help athletes reach the sport’s top‑ten level worldwide in short‑barrel and shotgun disciplines. He noted that Thai national team seniors have already achieved world‑class success, citing the recent IPSC Shotgun World Shoot 2026 in Greece where the Thai team won three gold, four silver and two bronze medals, placing fifth overall and first in Asia.
