The Thai Senior Tennis Association, together with SCB WEALTH under Siam Commercial Bank PCL, is preparing to host the 79th Thai Senior Tennis Championship 2026, competing for the Royal Trophy bestowed by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The singles competition has drawn tremendous interest with 800 registrants, up approximately 35% from last year's 594, marking the highest registration count in the association's history. This reflects continuously growing interest in tennis among senior athletes.
The singles event will run from October 23-29, 2026 at Crystal Sports G, an indoor tennis facility on the Ekkamai-Ramintra road, featuring ITF-certified courts. The venue supports competition, giving athletes a platform to showcase potential, develop skills, and build friendships through sport, while demonstrating that tennis is more than a game — it's part of a lifestyle and community for those who share the passion.
Mrs. Suphanawit Iamskulrat, President of the Thai Senior Tennis Association, said: "The 800 registrants for singles, up about 35% from last year, is a positive signal for Thai senior tennis. It shows continuously rising interest because tennis not only promotes health and physical strength but also lets players challenge themselves, meet new friends, and build good relationships through sport.
Tennis is now gaining more lifestyle attention, from fashion to community gatherings among tennis lovers. The association is committed to organizing standardized, sustainable events so athletes have a stage to compete, improve, and participate in the sports community year-round."
Mr. Sarachai Suneta, CFA, Deputy Head of Wealth Business at Siam Commercial Bank, said that over the past four years, SCB has taken pride in being the main sponsor of the Thai Senior Tennis Championship, with senior participation growing steadily. This support reflects SCB WEALTH's commitment to holistic client care — wealth management, health, and long-term quality of life.
SCB WEALTH aims to be a Trusted Partner alongside clients at every life stage, ensuring financial security and good health, because happiness in retirement means having the energy to do what you love, spend time with family, and care for oneself. Financial preparation and health care should go hand in hand so everyone can live their senior years as intended.
"We therefore support the Thai Senior Tennis Championship for the fourth year to give seniors exercise goals, opportunities to compete, and chances to meet like-minded friends. We want the joy of competition to drive continuous health maintenance, because good health is what allows us to use our wealth to create lasting happiness," Mr. Sarachai said.
