The Thai national football team has resumed full-scale training after giving players a one-day rest to prepare for the AFC Asian Cup 2026 Group B qualifier against Malaysia. Training at BGTC 3 Stadium in Pathum Thani on July 28 was divided into two sessions, combining tactical understanding work in the morning with fitness and detailed tactical preparation in the evening. Defender Parsai Hommavibul said the team is ready, with no injuries since the previous match and full physical recovery. He warned that Malaysia is a high-quality side with strong forwards and emphasized the importance of playing at home. Midfielder Worchit Kanitsuribamphen noted that fitness levels are improving and the coaching staff are focusing on physical conditioning and tactical adjustments. He stressed the need to be cautious of Malaysia's quick transitions from defense to attack, particularly their wingers and strikers. Worchit added that teamwork is strong and the squad is focused on winning the match at home to advance in the tournament. After securing three points from Laos, the team aims to earn the same from Malaysia. The coach has stressed avoiding complacency, as Malaysia is a quality opponent. If Thailand wins this match and the remaining two fixtures, they could finish atop the group. The match against Malaysia will be played on August 1 at Rajamangala Stadium at 8:00 PM.
