Thailand will release commemorative coins to mark its hosting of the 2026 IMF‑World Bank Annual Meeting. The Treasury Department offers two versions of a 100‑baht copper‑nickel coin, with a premium polished edition priced at 700 baht and a standard edition at 100 baht. Finance Deputy Prime Minister Ekanit Nitithamprasert said the Treasury Department has produced commemorative coins for the annual IMF and World Bank Governors meeting in 2026, as Thailand will host the event from October 12 to 18. The coins come in two types: a polished white copper‑nickel 100‑baht piece, 38 mm across and 25 g, with a mintage cap of 30,000 and a sale price of 700 baht; and an ordinary version of the same design, capped at 200,000 pieces and priced at 100 baht each. The coins can be exchanged starting October 9, 2026 in the Money Room on the 21st floor of the 150‑year‑old Finance Ministry building.
