THANN Wellness: Escape and Rejuvenate in Historic Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya is an ancient city filled with charm at every corner—temples, riverside living, and celebrated cuisine. In the evening, as sunlight bathes the historic monuments, the entire city becomes radiant and alive. It is a destination that never fails to enchant those who visit.

For anyone feeling that their body craves rest while the mind continues working, THANN Wellness in Ayutthaya province offers a change of scenery. Just over an hour's drive from Bangkok, visitors find themselves amid the Noi River, rice fields, and more than 25 acres of green space, intentionally designed for the complete rest of body, emotion, and spirit. The concept centers on Active Lifestyle, Balance of Body, Mind and Spirit, and Connect with Others.

The resort features only 47 rooms, creating an intimate, undisturbed atmosphere. Accommodations include Riverfront Suites, Treehouses, and Pool Villas ranging from 64 to 460 square meters, complete with infused water, health snacks, and THANN's skincare and haircare products. Upon arrival, guests can truly switch from work mode to rest mode.

The all-inclusive packages are comprehensive, covering rooms, all meals, resort wear, a minibar, fitness classes, recreational activities, and a 90-minute spa treatment per night per guest. Guests pay once and enjoy the trip without constantly calculating costs.

Active guests have more than 10 classes to choose from, including Tea Yoga, Yoshi Balance, Aqua Exercise, Water Bike, Paddle Board, and Canoe. Whether seeking gentle exercise or an intense workout, there is something for everyone. A Wellness Butler helps customize activities for each individual. For those preferring relaxation, options include Facial Workshops and Garden Tours, where visitors can walk through vegetable gardens and select seasonal ingredients for the chef to prepare.

When serious rest is needed, the Spa and Wellness Facilities—spanning over 1,600 square meters—deliver. The facility includes 12 treatment rooms, an Aromatherapy Bath, Aromatherapy Steam Room, Sauna, and Fitness Center. Spa treatments range from Nano Shiso Therapy to THANN Sanctuary Signature Massage and Thai Aromatic Massage. Those with stiff necks and shoulders from computer work will particularly appreciate programs targeting muscle tension and fatigue.

Food lovers need not feel guilty. The cuisine follows a Farm to Table concept using fresh, seasonal ingredients, including homegrown local vegetables and edible flowers. Three-course, chef-recommended menus feature dishes such as fresh pork and shrimp salad with squid, salmon carpaccio served with truffle oil cream tofu sauce, and charred chicken. Fusion options include black pasta with lobster and drunken clams, grouper steak with pesto sauce, and desserts like Japanese sweet custard cream brulée served with caramel sauce and red sugar sago. Afternoon tea and herbal tea are offered on the first day.

Notably, THANN prioritizes sustainability. Food scraps are composted for vegetable gardens, single-use plastics are reduced, and wristbands replace key cards to save energy and unnecessary materials.

Overall, THANN Wellness is more than a resort—it is a place to press the reset button on oneself. Whether exercising, getting a spa treatment, enjoying fine dining, or simply sitting under the trees with an empty mind, the resort suits those seeking respite from chaos and a return home with a refreshed body and a lighter heart.
