Three brothers aged 11, 9 and 6 drowned in a pond near their home in Klang Dong subdistrict, Nakhon Ratchasima, after their father returned from work and found them missing. Rescue teams recovered the bodies, and the father expressed his grief while authorities urged parents to supervise children during school break.
Extremely sad, after finishing work the father did not find his three children and went searching, discovering the shocking news that three siblings had drowned in a pond beside the house, embracing their lifeless bodies with grief. Date: 15 October 2069. Pol. Col. Apiwat Natong, Superintendent of Klang Dong Police Station, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, said that during the previous night at 19:30 on 14 October 2069 he received a report from the Klang Dong Subdistrict Municipality Rescue Unit that three siblings had gone missing in a pond beside the parallel high-speed railway road in Moo 3, Ban Yaat Samakkhi, Klang Dong Subdistrict. He then proceeded to the scene together with Pol. Lt. Pramet Sornthep, investigator of Klang Dong Police Station, Raddean Pengnuam, Mayor of Klang Dong Subdistrict Municipality, the Klang Dong Subdistrict Municipality Rescue Unit, the Si Mamong Subdistrict Municipality Rescue Unit, and coordinated with the Sawang Wichathammasathan Foundation Rescue Unit in Pak Chong to request additional rescue personnel and a dive team from Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima. The pond is approximately 30 meters wide and 30 meters long, surrounded by grassland. Rescue dive teams entered the water to search and found the bodies of: Master Pawatrut, age 11, eldest son, studying in Grade 5; Master Peerapat, age 9, studying in Grade 3; Master Phatdanon, age 6, studying in Kindergarten 3. After retrieving the bodies from the pond, Mr. Naruebet (surname withheld), age 34, the father, wept and embraced the lifeless bodies of his three children, together with relatives, a heartbreaking scene. According to Mr. Naruebet, every day he and his wife go to work in Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province, while the three sons, currently on school break, stay at home. He had instructed them not to leave the house or go near the pond, which is about 50 meters from their home, because none of them can swim. However, after finishing work and returning home, he did not see his three sons. He called out around the house but got no response, until he noticed two pairs of shoes placed at the edge of the pond, leading him to suspect the boys had fallen in. He then went into the pond to search and found the middle child's body. The eldest and youngest were not found, so he called for help. Officers then located the other two boys. Pol. Col. Apiwat Natong added that during this school break, parents must jointly look after their children, especially those living near roads and hazardous areas, ensuring there is a supervisor to prevent such tragedies.
