Tiger Leaves Park, Kills Five Puppies in Kamphaeng Phet
A tiger from Khlong Lan National Park killed five puppies in Ban Nong Phak Bung village, prompting rangers to establish a containment zone in Kamphaeng Phet.
On November 2, Khlong Lan National Park chief Suwit Janreung said rangers were alerted the previous day by villagers in Ban Mai Thong Chai who discovered large animal tracks in rice fields near Khlong Dad. Inspection confirmed the prints belonged to a tiger moving northward. Patrol units were dispatched to monitor the two villages and advise locals on safety measures. Early this morning, the tiger was found to have killed and completely consumed five puppies at a household in Ban Nong Phak Bung, Village 14. Rangers are now surveying the tiger's travel direction to establish a containment zone and protect livestock, while park outreach teams join community leaders to brief residents with animal pens on precautionary steps.
