Ton Bangkhaek Demands Investigation into Whether Female Prosecutor 'Maem' is Legitimate Amid Debt Negotiation Pressure

On May 5, 2026, at the Supreme Prosecutor's Office in Bangkok, Tontong Sukkaew, known as Ton Bangkhaek, a well-known amulet dealer, and his lawyer Cholamchai Sriyuphakdi submitted a letter requesting investigation into allegations that someone claiming to be a prosecutor was pressuring him to modify debt agreements.

Ton stated that a female prosecutor named 'Maem' was involved in a 27th-floor debt clearance negotiation, and he wants verification of whether she is a legitimate prosecutor and whether she can legally pursue debt collection during official working hours. He explained that he has already provided all details to investigators at Phahon Yothin Police Station. The woman never showed any official credentials, and Ton expressed concern and anxiety about the situation. He has met her twice—once at his office and once during a creditor meeting on the 27th floor.

Ton emphasized that he is not following social media due to his poor mental state and constant attacks. He noted that he had paid in advance and still respected creditor Suphan as a senior figure. When asked to discuss matters, he thought it was to explain the debt situation, not realizing it would become a mediation meeting with multiple parties. Being threatened by two state officials has already created immense pressure. Regarding rumors of an arrest warrant, Ton denies any personal conflict with authorities and claims no one is behind him. He stated he would not damage his 30-year reputation in the amulet business without just cause and simply wants to protect his rights.

Lawyer Cholamchai Sriyuphakdi stated that today's investigation should verify whether 'Prosecutor Maem' is legitimate and whether she used official working time for debt clearance activities. If she is not a real prosecutor, the matter should proceed according to the complaint filed at Phahon Yothin Police Station.
