Tourist Police Assist Passengers with Lost Luggage at Suvarnabhumi
Tourist police at Suvarnabhumi Airport are helping passengers locate lost luggage and coordinating with airport authorities to reduce traveler stress. The initiative also includes security patrols and readiness drills to ensure tourist safety. Officials say the effort aims to provide both convenience and a secure environment for visitors.
On October 1, 2026, Deputy Commander of the Tourist Police, Pol. Gen. Phongsyam Mihekthong, visited Suvarnabhumi Airport to oversee assistance for passengers dealing with missing baggage. He met with Suvarnabhumi Airport Director Kittipong Kittikhajorn and other agencies at the second-floor passenger terminal, Door 1, and the baggage claim area to discuss issues and coordinate help for affected travelers. The tourist police were instructed to facilitate communication between passengers and the agencies responsible for baggage handling and to provide full support throughout the process.
In addition, Pol. Gen. Phongsyam monitored the tourist police’s security operations and conducted a morale-boosting lineup in front of the Tourist Police Office at Door 3, second floor, to ensure readiness for safeguarding and assisting tourists passing through the airport. Senior officers including Pol. Col. Monporn Likhithamnan, Pol. Lt. Col. Prechaya Oraiphan, Pol. Lt. Col. Manoon Boonsom, and Pol. Lt. Col. Apirung Pirommongkol joined the field operation, along with other personnel from the Tourist Police Division 3.
The operation aims to ensure passengers receive both safety assurance and convenient coordination with the relevant authorities, alleviating the stress of lost luggage while maintaining a secure environment for tourists.
