DAD has extended free parking at Building D, floors 3-4, of the Government Center Chaeng Watthana until October 15, 2069, providing space for up to 300 vehicles to alleviate public inconvenience. DAD Asset Development Managing Director Theetach Suksa-ard said the extension aims to ease public stress and reduce worries during the period. Currently about 200 cars use the free parking, and DAD stands ready to expand capacity if demand exceeds supply.

The parking building is located within the Government Center Chaeng Watthana complex and features a skywalk linking it to the Pink Line’s Government Center Praearameerachoti Station. It also serves as a transfer point from public transport to the free EV Shuttle Bus that operates within the Praearameerachoti Government Center. Commuters can use the EV Shuttle Bus to reach Buildings A, B, and especially Building C, which houses shops, food stalls, daily necessities, service outlets, co‑working spaces, and green areas for relaxation, recreation, and exercise.

Overall, the Praearameerachoti Government Center is more than a venue for official business; it is a green‑innovation government city where the public can enjoy convenient facilities and a comfortable lifestyle.

Bangkok Governor Defends Flood Plan, Rejects Monkey Cheek Cancellation

Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt denied reports that the city has cancelled the royal‑initiated monkey‑cheek flood‑prevention project, explaining that private‑land constraints would require over 11 billion baht for expropriation. He said alternatives such as canal dredging, water‑way shortcuts, and tunnels are more cost‑effective and better suited to local conditions, while the monkey‑cheek concept remains viable where suitable water bodies already exist.
