Floods Hit 30 Thai Provinces and Bangkok, Affecting Millions

Flooding has spread across 30 Thai provinces and Bangkok, affecting more than 1.1 million households and 3.3 million people. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reports rising water levels in many areas and has mobilized rescue and relief efforts. In Kanchanaburi province, two fatalities have been recorded as the situation remains critical.

In the North, Phitsanulok reported flooding in Bang Rakam district with 2 sub‑districts, 2 villages and 3 households affected, water levels receding. Phetchabun had flooding in six districts (Mueang Phetchabun, Chon Daen, Bueng Samphan, Si Thep, Wang Sai Phun, Nong Phai) affecting 9 sub‑districts, 19 villages and 82 households, water receding. Kamphaeng Phet saw flooding in eight districts, affecting 47 sub‑districts, 331 villages and 6,122 households, water receding. Nakhon Sawan experienced flooding in eleven districts, affecting 65 sub‑districts, 368 villages and 9,546 households, with water levels rising.

In the Central region, Uthai Thani had flooding in eight districts affecting 56 sub‑districts, 413 villages and 4,785 households, water rising. Lopburi flooding in five districts affecting 23 sub‑districts, 84 villages and 1,657 households, water rising. Chai Nat flooding in seven districts affecting 38 sub‑districts, 168 villages and 1,581 households, water rising. Sing Buri flooding in three districts affecting 3 sub‑districts, 11 villages and 974 households, water rising. Suphan Buri flooding in nine districts affecting 92 sub‑districts, 667 villages and 18,987 households, water rising. Kanchanaburi flooding in thirteen districts affecting 90 sub‑districts, 884 villages and 9,635 households, with two deaths reported and water rising. Ang Thong flooding in three districts affecting 8 sub‑districts, 24 villages and (data incomplete). Saraburi and other central provinces show similar patterns with rising water levels.

In the Eastern region, Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi, Trat and nearby provinces report flooding with increasing water levels. In the Northeast, Buriram, Chaiyaphum and Surin are affected. In the South, Chumphon province also experiences flood impacts. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and deploy rescue teams where needed.
