Thai Golfer Patcharajuta Kongkaphan Holds 12th at Asian Games
Thai golfer Patcharajuta Kongkaphan (Pro Plai) posted the best score among Thai women after the second round of the Asian Games women's golf competition in Japan, finishing one-under-par 139 and sitting 12th, 12 strokes behind the leader. The Thai women's team placed seventh with a combined four-under-par 276, eight shots off the lead. Teammates Apichaya Yubun and Natkrita Wongthawilap fell to 16th and 21st respectively.
Pro Plai Patcharajuta Kongkaphan delivered the strongest showing among Thai women golfers in the second round of the Asian Games women's golf competition at the Kasugai Country Club East Course in Japan. She carded an even-par round, bringing her two-day total to one-under-par 139, which placed her in 12th position, 12 strokes behind Singapore's Tan Chanoll Shuyin, who led the field. Pro Piano Apichaya Yubun struggled, shooting over four-over-par for a cumulative one-over-par 141 and sharing 16th place. Pro Sim Natkrita Wongthawilap finished with a four-over-par 144, good for 21st. In the team event, Thailand recorded a combined four-under-par 276, sharing seventh place with the Philippines, eight strokes behind the leading Chinese team, which posted a 12-under-par 268. Singapore followed with 11-under-par 269 for second, and India was third at 7-under-par 273.
