On October 30, reporters learned that the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), the Region 9 Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), and Trang Provincial Police conducted an expanded operation against the key drug network of Mr. Suntisuk, alias 'Jing', after discovering connections to grenade attacks on residential homes in Trang province. The raid on October 29 targeted six locations across Mueang Trang, Na Yong, Huai Yot, and Kantang districts. Officers arrested three suspects on outstanding warrants — two for explosives offenses and one for methamphetamine trafficking — and apprehended three more suspects in the act.
Authorities also seized 1,150,300 baht in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug sales collected by network members for delivery to the financiers, along with firearms and other evidence.
Investigations revealed the network is linked to 11 grenade attacks on homes in Trang throughout 2026. Police believe the group hired local youths through intermediaries to carry out the attacks, which were meant to intimidate, collect drug debts, and settle rival disputes, paying 10,000-20,000 baht per job.
Officers also uncovered a drug smuggling route using private parcel companies to transport methamphetamine from the northern border region to Trang for distribution to low-level dealers. Proceeds were then used to purchase gold bars, which were shipped back north as parcels.
The operation yielded 874,692 methamphetamine pills, 8 kilograms of crystal meth (ice), multiple firearms, two ARGES-84 anti-personnel grenades, cash, five vehicles, and gold bars. Seized assets totaled 7,188,430 baht, while approximately 13 million baht in bank accounts were frozen, bringing the total seized and frozen assets to over 21.3 million baht.
All six suspects have reportedly confessed to all charges. Police will continue tracing financial channels and pursuing the remaining financiers to cut off funding and dismantle the network completely.
