Police Bust Laughing Gas Gang, Seize 607 Tanks in Pathum Thani
Police arrested four suspects and seized 607 nitrous oxide tanks in Pathum Thani after a bank employee flagged a suspicious 600,000 baht withdrawal linked to the trafficking ring.
A bank employee's alertness over a suspicious 600,000 baht withdrawal led to the dismantling of a nitrous oxide trafficking ring. On October 30, 2026, Pol. Maj. Gen. Naradech Thiprak, Deputy Commander of Provincial Police Region 1, ordered a team led by Pol. Col. Kittithane Thannanthawi, Pol. Col. Phanupakorn Jitprayut, and other senior officers to arrest Mr. Naphat, 19, Mr. Wiwat, 33, Mr. Akhom, 20, and Mr. Natthaphong, 31. Seized were 607 nitrous oxide tanks, 500 gas dispensers, 2,000 balloons, 770,000 baht in cash, two 10-baht gold bars, and a freeze on 500,000 baht in bank accounts.
The investigation began when staff at a Future Park Rangsit bank branch flagged Mr. Naphat's unusual withdrawal. Questioned by police, he admitted the funds came from laughing gas sales and that he was to deliver the money to the supplier. He said a woman known as "Miss Min" had hired him to administer a sales page, manage customer payments, and coordinate shipments of nitrous oxide from Bangkok to warehouses and residences in Pathum Thani. Police then expanded the operation to apprehend the remaining suspects and seize evidence before handing the case to Khlong Luang Police Station in Pathum Thani for legal proceedings.
