Narcotics Police Seize 5 Tons Laughing Gas in Bang Phli Raid
Narcotics police seized 5 tons of nitrous oxide and arrested a suspect in a Bang Phli warehouse raid targeting a Bangkok supply network.
Narcotics suppression police launched an operation to dismantle a nitrous oxide distribution network after discovering the gas was being secretly sold to establishments in Bangkok for misuse. Officers searched a warehouse in Bang Phli, Samut Prakan, arresting Thiraphong, 35, and seizing 5 tons of laughing gas — 1,000 cylinders — plus 197 capsules, 175 packages, two mobile phones, and a pickup truck, totaling approximately 4 million baht in evidence.
The operation was commanded by Pol. Maj. Gen. Sayam Boonsom, Pol. Col. Palat Aemla, Pol. Lt. Col. Thanachot Ruekdee, and other senior officers, who deployed a tactical team led by Pol. Capt. Yoschanin Prasertsopa to conduct the raid.
Investigators linked the warehouse to the supply of nitrous oxide and equipment to Bangkok venues. Police charged the suspect under the Narcotics Act B.E. 2510 for selling controlled drugs without a license and selling unregistered drugs. The suspect and evidence were transferred to Bang Phli Police Station for further legal proceedings.
